August 28, 2012 by Steven M. Gursten

Steven Gursten tells MLive that Michigan is making a dire mistake by not making texting while driving prevention a priority

MLive interviewed Michigan Auto Law partner Steven M. Gursten on federal funding for the state to enforce distracted driving laws, and how teen texting and driving plays into the equation.

According to the story, because Michigan currently does not have a distracted driving law specifically for teens, the state may not be eligible for the federal funds.

Said Gursten, “Michigan is really falling behind the rest of the country on this issue, in recognizing how important a public safety issue this has become.”
